Never did I think that I’d end up where I am now. And I just want to say that life is good, and I actually believe I’m on the right track.
As you all know now, I’ve been attending FIP at Makati. I love how near it is from where I stay, and how homey it feels there. Too cold most of the time, but homey nevertheless. <3
This is Let. The very first smile of my days always come from this bubbly lady. :)
The school has all these mannequins, drawings, and photographs. I consider them as either inspiration for working, or reminders of other classes that I should take (aka styling and photography).
I’m taking up basic pattern making, sewing, and fashion design now. And all three classes are awesome! I’m really learning a lot, and I think by next week I’ll already be able to create my own skirts. I CANNOT WAIT! :D
But for now this is all I can do: draw. Check out my first four designs! I haven’t done any actual drawing in years! I’m so excited that we’ll be doing this on a regular basis. Grade school Bea would’ve been in awe. 83
The best thing about this whole new experience, though, are all the new friends I’m making! Here are a couple of shots that show each one’s unique side haha! Don’t kill me, guys. Love lang yan, loooove. <3
SIIIIIGH. Well, I hope y’all liked this little kwento blog post of mine. More on FIP next time! :)
Hi miss Bea! :) I really love your style and the way you carry yourself. You're one of my style icons, esp since I don't wear a lot of heels too! I prefer oxfords :) May I ask, where do you buy a detachable collar? I've really wanted to buy one but I don't know where they're found. Thank you! :)
Awwww thanks for making my day! <3
HMM! I bought mine at the Trunk Show. But there are also online stores that sell detachable collars. Check these links out:
Hi! Ms. Bea, hihi! I love your fashion blog. btw what course did you take at the fashion institute? term or individual course subj.? I wanted to go to fashion school someday.. haha! anyway Goodluck! :">
Aww thanks so much, sweetie! I’m taking individual course subjects. But they do have a course na 6 months with graduation and everything. Go check out the FIP website. :)
My family decided to change things up for 2012, so we stayed at the Manila Peninsula for a few days. It was freakin’ epic! But being the loser that I am, I left my camera’s charger at home and my battery ran out right before the countdown. WHAT IS LAME! But I still had tons of fun and I’ll have photographs of those memories in my head anyway (cheese). :3
I don’t have photos of our suite, but I guess this telephone will suffice as proof. HAHA!
Wasn’t sleepy yet, so I decided to take a bunch of pictures on our first night. Most of which were of my little brother, Patrick, who was game enough to have a weird mini shoot with me in the bathroom.
And yes, we used my Nyx lipstick for the blood. We’re blood loonies like that.
My sister and her family stayed with us at the hotel since it was big enough to accommodate us all. So here I am again, taking too many pictures of my niece, Arwen. She’s only one year old, but she knows how to model. And how to walk in heels. :|
The next day, we decided to go to the gym/go swimming. Arwen was lazy, and was pretty happy to be brought around the hotel in my dad’s gym bag. Haha!
Meet my beautiful ate, Kathy. Ikaw na ang sexy!
Now meet my beautiful family. AWWW! Here you see my nephew, Tristan. Super sweet boy, but is never still for pictures haha!
The most modelesque baby in a swimsuit…
And her ninang. YUCK, PAGBIGYAN. Once in a blue moon lang ‘to. No pictures without shorts because I die of shame. Hahaha!
My brother, sister, and niece eating some Patrick. That is cannibalism, I tell you! HAHA!
And that’s it for swimming. But before we went back up, I just had to take a quick shot of Tristan’s towel. It was too cute not to take a picture of. <3
Took outfit shots at the hotel lobby after freshening up. I mean how can you not? Lookbook awaits!
Then it was off to Banapple for dinner! I inherited the make-a-funny-face gene from my dad, I guess.
The streets of Makati were closed off for the New Year’s event. It was awesome, walking and dancing along Ayala without getting killed by speeding cars.
It was even more awesome that they had men on stilts, a huge countdown screen, Iza Calzado as host, and all these light-up toys! There were also fireworks after!
After all that fun in the streets, we headed back to our room for our annual family toast. Manila Pen’s New Year Ball was still ongoing, though, so my family kind of made epal for a while. Just for pictures, because joining this celebration is hella expensive. Hahaha!
Well that’s it! Peace and love, everyone! Happy 2012! :)
A bajillion years ago, when I was still blonde, I posted this photo of me and Kryz and told y’all I had a surprise. :3
WELL GUESS WHAT! I was actually asked to model for Red Mango! Ahuhu! I was so happy when my friend asked if I could, I mean how can you say no! Red Mango is my absolute favorite yogurt everrrr!
We shot here, at Red Mango Katipunan. Back when the building there was still under renovation and the other stores were still closed. :)
Meet the team: our photographer Daniel, bosing Sherika, and the Buensalido & Associates PR representatives. Love you, Patti and Francis for all this. :)
That is me getting my hair and make-up done by Cherry. Her work is excellent, by the way! I felt like a barbie doll. And she gave me hair extensions that I didn’t want to return to her anymore haha!
Posing with my ladies, Karen and Kryz. :)
We took a lot of behind the scenes photos in between sets. Since I don’t want to bombard you guys with too many pictures, I’ll just give you a photo of me and Karen waiting for our turn. And oops moment lang.. My shirt was baliktad pala. We only realized in the middle of shooting that set, but decided to leave it that way for some reason. HAHAHA! Labo, diba!
The day went by with more outfit changes and more photo sets. This was the last one! :)
Well that’s a wrap! Watch out for the next Red Mango ads okay! Meron na sa Trinoma, 3rd level. In front of Toys R’ Us. :D
And I would know, because I posed beside myself a few days ago. HAHAHA!
Also look for these Red Mango P250 gift cards, because my mouth and hand’s on them hihi! I also included here a picture my proud mother. I took it right after she told all the sales people that I was the model for the poster and card hahaha! What is nakakahiya.
WELL, that’s it! Hope I didn’t bore you with my face! Go visit a Red Mango near you! Now na! Eat some yogurt and be happy. <3
So sorry, you guys, for being a late mole! I thought I’d be able to get some internet time at the hotel but no! :( So here I am, 2 days late on announcing the Design Your Life planner giveaway. Oh well, better late than never? Haha! Here goes!
Out of all the New Year’s Resolutions, this one won: My New Year’s Resolution is to allow myself to have fun and enjoy my last few months as a college student! :) Sound familiar? CONGRATULATIONS, ANGEL CASTILLO! :D
